Reflections – Thursday, September 8, 2016

Carol A. Hand

You appeared in a morning dream
to ask for the energy of healing love, my dear
I gave it freely, sensing otherwise an end is near
Then I watched as you turned and slowly walked away
your kind and gentle essence shining clear as day
from an old man’s body, slightly stooped, moving with a shuffling gait
There’s still time to heal the past, you know, though the hour is growing late

      1. Carol, I have read your work on I believe, Ron’s site, and then your own, and each time I just think you are the most talented modern poet I have had the pleasure of reading on WP. Incredible vision lady!

        1. You are very kind, Candice. Honestly, your poetry is deep and eloquent, while mine is that of a mere observer of simple things. Yet I sense that we both share the same desire – to bring beauty into the lives of others. ❤

        2. Very true about our shared desire though I admire you for being able to write without personalizing which is something I am not as good at and I think you put a lot of power in your observations, after all the best poetry has always been based upon observation and I for one really do love your writing, it is for me, far more than observation of simple things.

  1. Ya know what I think, Carol. You should think someday about writing a book about these kinds of things that you post on your blog. Your wisdom stories and your thoughts about life and your thoughts about your garden and such. That’s what I think my friend. 🙂 ❤

    1. Thank you for your lovely, thoughtful comments, Jean. Yes, I agree words can heal (or wound) “in ways hands can not.” Yet this dream taught me something else as well. People need not even know that we are sending healing love for it to matter. Our thoughts and intentions carry tremendous energy, if not for others, certainly for our own sense of well-being.
