Contact Information & Submissions

This blog welcomes submissions from other authors. I am interested in contributions that raise important social justice issues, describe innovative solutions that foster hope and possibilities, and encourage critical thinking and dialogue. I do screen submissions and select those that offer thoughtful perspectives that I may or may not agree with but that I feel will encourage critical thought and discussion.

I am willing to work with people who want assistance developing their ideas and submissions. If you would like to submit something to post on this blog, please contact Carol A. Hand at carolahand@gmail.com. Please allow up to 3 days for a response.

  1. hi Carola, I enjoyed your last two blog posts but dont see a comment section below them, despite your call for thoughts on the topics. it is impressive that you can seek out a position of understanding both sides in the pipeline issue, and how the lack of alternatives creates financial dependency that can often overshadow ethical stances. a difficult situation. thanks for your insightful, environmentally-oriented posts!

    1. Thank you for your thoughtful comments and kind words, Kristin. And thank you for letting me know about the comment section being turned off. I will check to find out why that is happening and see if I can figure out how to fix it!

I’m so grateful you cared enough to find a creative way to engage in dialogue and let me know about the issue with comments!

  2. Carol,
I did not know how to get ahold of you in another way. I wanted to thank you for guiding me to think outside the box. Your kindness and knowledge has assisted me as a helper in the Native American community. I am honored to have had you as a professor. I was at the St Louis County Health and Human Service Conference last week and you were in a video presented there; please keep doing what you are doing. You have the gift to facilitate change.

  3. Not sure if comment went through …

    Hello Carol,

Let us extend an offer to you and/or your readers to participate in an interview by answering the (4) questions posed to Alfred recently in post: “An Interview Of Alfred Gluecksmann” at The Oneness of Humanity. Future posts will carry the same title: “An Interview Of (Your name here)”.
    ***
Question 1…) What was your primary motivation for entering the world of blogging on the worldwide web – on the internet?
    ***
Question 2…) How would you describe yourself with regard to spirituality? What were some of the most memorable transforming points across the years (books, personal contacts, mystical experiences, etc.) in the developing of your current spiritual perspective?
    ***
Question 3…) What is your greatest wish for readers as a consequence after reading/considering your writings?
    ***
Question 4…and final) Can you offer any advice to people having a difficult time dealing with government and media lies, especially as it pertains to so many average citizens who hold erroneous perceptions on important events and situations around the Earth?
    ***
If you (or anyone who passes this way – this proposal is open to all) would like to share your (their) thoughts take as many words and as much time as necessary to accurately convey your responses, then – when completely satisfied – email them (please refrain from email formatting as it makes it more difficult to copy/paste/edit into a WordPress post) to jerryalatalo (at) hotmail.com., whereupon I will publish each individual’s response as a stand-alone post – with the ultimate goal of inclusion/compiling in a book.

The potential book’s title has yet to become decided upon. There are no rules besides the obvious (no profanity, etc.), no word-count limits (1,000/10,000 words might suffice as a suggested lower/upper limit) or time deadlines (hoping for pre-Christmas 2017 self-publish date – Kindle, Smashwords (eBook), Amazon (softcover/paperback) … ), but only honest observations.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Jerry Alatalo

    1. Thank you so much for such a thoughtful invitation, Jerry. This sounds like a very interesting project, and the essay I read on your blog last week was fascinating. I will give this some thought, although I still have a couple weeks of grading before I will have enough free time to write something substantive. Again, thank you for your kindness.
